Cooking Class

Let’s cook, connect, and celebrate Bengali cuisine together

Learn the basics of torkari – Organ Feast – October 27

Shuraya’s Kitchen – where you learn the basics of torkari!

Time: 6pm – 9pm

Curious about the Bangladeshi dishes you rarely see on a restaurant menu? Join Shuraya on October 27 for an evening of bold flavours, family recipes, and stories from the kitchen she grew up in. With Halloween just around the corner, the timing is a little spooky and so are these dishes, but these dishes have always been comfort food to Shuraya!

In this demo-style class, Shuraya will prepare a feast featuring chicken liver, cow brain, and beef paya, alongside dal, shobji, and bhorta. Watch how she builds flavour with spices and cooking techniques, ask questions as each dish comes together, and hear the memories behind the recipes.

We’ll gather at her beautiful home kitchen. Shuraya will welcome you with tea before the demonstration, and the evening will end around a shared table, enjoying the meal together. Come curious, come hungry, and bring someone who loves trying something new!
