Time: 12 pm – 3 pm
Join us for a unique and intimate experience where food meets healing. This special collaboration brings together Shuraya’s Kitchen and Palak Dadwal, a Certified Grief & Loss Specialist and Breathwork & Meditation Coach, to create a space for nourishment, reflection, and connection.
This is more than a cooking class. It’s a guided experience designed to help you slow down, reconnect with yourself, and explore the relationship between food, energy, and wellbeing.
During this retreat, you will be guided through slow, intentional cooking, preparing traditional Bangladeshi dishes such as bhortas (mashed dishes), daal (lentil soup), and simple nourishing meals. The focus is not only on what you create, but how you feel while creating it, encouraging presence, mindfulness, and ease in the kitchen.
Alongside the cooking experience, Palak will lead a gentle journaling and reflection session, offering a safe and supportive space to release, process, and reconnect with yourself through guided prompts and breathwork-inspired awareness.
Together, this experience blends food, mindfulness, and emotional well-being, creating a space where you can pause, breathe, and feel grounded in community.
As two South Asian women, this offering is deeply meaningful to us. It is rooted in our shared intention to create spaces that feel warm, inclusive, and nourishing, where culture and care come together naturally.
No cooking experience is needed. This space is open to anyone looking to slow down, reconnect, and experience food in a more mindful and meaningful way.
